This November at Blooming Minds STEAM Academy was so colorful and bright, just like the leaves in the picture.
Let us tell you about it a little more!
Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White is what was on the menu at reading class for 3-4 graders. They definitely loved this beautiful story about a real friendship and were discussing each part. We also decided to watch a movie based on this book which left even more positive emotions for everyone.
As our school is very deep on Math and every year actively participates in Math Olympiads, we decided to make it a little fun time and have an internal Math Olympiad for our students in school. The results showed what should we work on in future to have our champions in every Olympiad there is.
Every elementary school grade starting at 1st and ending at 4th had a very active Speech class. There’s much progress here. If at the beginning some students were shy to speak to the audience, now with some exercises and lessons from great speakers they are moving towards the success! They’re not scared to speak in front of other kids, especially because they’re all friends and are learning supporting each other. It’s exactly what we’re aiming for!
Tennis classes are in progress too as we keep building a character as an athlete in our students. Through practice outside (while we had some warm days) and inside they are building their skills, they are getting stronger and better in what they do. And of course through some other sports activities our students build their teamwork abilities. Who knows if one day they will be playing for NHL, NFL or NBA? Some dreaming is always good for our souls because dreams are having this magical ability of coming true. *Wink*
As we’re walking into our Thanksgiving break week, simply wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to every Blooming Minds STEAM Academy family! Have a great week with your loved ones, celebrate and stay warm. Oh, yes!
And remember… There’s always something to be thankful for. We are thankful for you, for being with us!
