In line with our commitment to academic excellence, we participate in renowned math competitions such as Math Kangaroo USA. This international competition spans 92 countries and tests more than just formulaic knowledge—students engage in logical problem-solving that integrates mathematical concepts. Our academy has consistently produced top performers in different age categories in this competition. Students from Elementary school in Wheeling and even younger participants from our Private kindergarten in Wheeling IL and Pre-school have excelled in this international event.
Teams of up to 35 students explore mathematical concepts while developing flexibility in solving non-routine problems with multiple solution paths. Our problems will prepare your students to exceed the rigors of your core curriculum by developing higher-order problem-solving skills.
Last year nearly 170,000 students from 6000 teams worldwide participated and the Blooming Minds STEAM Academy team did as well.
Participation in these math Olympiads is optional, but we strongly encourage it for those who want to hone their skills further. We offer extra preparation classes to support students in the lead-up to these events, ensuring they feel confident and prepared to tackle these challenges. Parents will be informed about registration details, payments, and upcoming preparatory sessions.
